So I recently went to Lanzarote which was both warm and beautiful. I went round the national park (Timanfaya) which is the result of the eruptions of the volcano from 1730-1736 and due to the lack of rain (it only rains for about 23 days each year-unlike the UK) there are perfectly preserved formations of volcanic rock and lava flows.
