Caught a variant last week that kicked my ass with pneumonia and seizures. Been in ICU since Monday, but much better today and waiting transfer to an occupational rehab to regain my strength and coordination. The seizures made me drop straight down wherever I was. My head in the photo has 50 electrical sensors glued to it while I undergo a 24 hour scan to record how my brain responds to different stimuli.
It was honestly touch and go for a few days at first. Had the sensation that no air was entering my lungs so I kept having massive hyperventilating panic attacks until I’d pass out from them.
But hey… the food here is awesome! This was dinner, yum. Happy to have my appetite back. For 4 days I had no desire at all for any sort of food or drink.
I’ll be fat as a Christmas Goose by the time I leave here 😆
So… I’ll be shacked up in that rehab for another 2 weeks. I just got the use of my cell phone this afternoon, so if they don’t wear me out too much lifting weights and climbing countless sets of stairs I’ll drop in and say hey. 😎 Love y’all ☮️
