Lost my ID in a fire years ago, been homeless since. I did something stupid and got caught driving with no insurance while moving my stuff between motels. HUGE fines and my license got revoked until paid up. I got cocky about it all. Been driving over 50 years with not even a parking ticket, paying insurance all that time. I asked the Judge to give me a break, he said no. But it was difficult to send money regularly to the court every month, especially when COVID hit and many motels locked down forcing me into the woods which became even more expensive.I couldn’t rent an apartment or get utilities in my name without ID. Sooo... I began diligently saving up any free cash I could, and went back to the Judge this week and paid everything off. In about 2-3 weeks I’ll get a certified release, and can finally get a real ID, tags on my Jeep, and resume a normal life. 😎
