My dipshit roommate set the kitchen on fire. Put a pan of oil on the stove, left it on high heat, went upstairs got high and fell asleep. Everything in the house is stained with soot. The landlord is expected later after he gets off work, and I expect he’ll boot us out. So, looks like I’ll be homeless again. Tried calling Red Cross and United Way for emergency shelter but nobody returns my voicemails.

Everything in that cabinet above the stove melted or flashed over. The doors are stuck. Stove wiring and all the electrical stuff in that hood fan is melted away too. At least $5,000 damage including a whole house cleaning and repainting. The wires inside that burnt wall need replacement too.
