I'm putting together an event with Karma and Gadget that should be really kickass for those of you in the Philly area. If you're not in the Philly area, get your car inspected, tires rotated and oil changed before the end of the month! You're going to be driving out this way in February...
Working as a freelancer is starting to become a real issue. The problem with being a technical person seems to be that every position I'm able to find pays well but has zero job security. I go from part time to freelance to subcontractor to indentured servant.
People want me and need my skills but don't seem to want to pay for my health insurance.
I'm sure many of you are going through the same thing. It's the sort of financial and health crunch that makes condoms seem like an absolute necessity - there's no way I can afford a baby or trip to the clinic right now, that's for damn sure!
Good thing I've always used condoms. No babies or clinic treatments to date.
My ex just told me that she's been dating a guy for a month and they've never used a condom.
She met the guy at a bar! That seems fucking crazy to me... good thing I have no desire to fuck her ever again. If I had fucked her and then found out that bit of news after the fact I'd be pretty damn grossed out.
Yet another reason why the rule "No Do-Overs" should be carved in stone!
Don't get me wrong, I'm not opposed to sex without a condom. I just think there are plenty of situations where it's the right thing to do. Too many of my friends have kids and baby mama drama to deal with while trying to find more work and some sort of health insurance...
I know a guy who was just fired from his job that has two sets of twins AND knocked up a girl he was banging on the side!
I wouldn't really call him a friend, I just know the guy...

This lady used to eat cat food off of my front porch. I chased her away several times, once with a shotgun! Here she is one last time, stopping by to profess her anger towards my landlord for ending my stay in West Philly. Apparently my cat food saver her life!
