Well, first, I'm sorry I didn't post this update sooner. Been really busy between work and other home stuff.
From my last post, My Dad had been hospitalized the last week in August for what turned out to be pneumonia and sepsis. We went over to see him for the Labor Day holiday (9/2 - 9/3). Honestly, he looked really bad and didn't seem like he was all there. While we were there, they had moved him to the Cardiac Care Unit because his heart (and kidneys) were showing strain from trying to get over the pneumonia. But that actually seemed to be the 'smart' move. About 4 days later, the doctors had tackled the sepsis, had most of the pneumonia (except some of the residual mucus) cleared up and had moved him to an in-patient rehab center. He's been there for about 2 weeks now and has made a lot of progress. He goes through PT, OT, Speech Therapy and Respiratory Therapy each day (about 3 - 4 hours worth!). I went over to see him and help Mom out middle of last week. He looked and sounded MUCH better. He'll finally get released this coming Tuesday.
