Yesterday, after work finished on the house, I went to Boarders and spent $99.98 on books. It's an addiction, I tell ya, an addiction.

'Tis time to work on final projects, but I don't have the inclination.

Is there usually a three month turnover here? Seems like a lot of people are leaving all of a sudden.

well my quote site isn't helping me out, but I think Erasmus once said something to the effect of "with what little money I have, I buy books. Then I buy food, clothing, and other necessities." I'm kind of strange like that - every once in a while I'll go to a serious bookstore and blow a hundred, or a hundred and fifty - but more often than not my books come from wandering into a little crappy bookshop and going "oh yeah... I don't have the new Hunter Thompson yet... well I need to get it sometime, might as well be now..." my collection grows more piecemeal than it does in large blocks.

I think my expectations are also set too high - hence I have so few real friends, but the ones I have are ubermensches.

Anyway...after a nice weekend, once more unto the breach...

Wow, did that little piece of dialogue actually take place? IF it did..if you actually had the chutzpah to go up and ask her that..wow, youve just reached Nightcrawler level's of coolness in my book.

Oh, and sometimes you just cant win. Maybe you should have just asked her if she wanted to go see a movie or something....offering a woman oral sex as an icebreaker usually doesnt' lead to good things. At the worse, you get kicked in the crotch. Repeatedly. With a steel-toed boot.

at some point we all sell our dreams. Some of us are lucky enough to be able to realize our mistake, and buy them back out of hawk from the pawn shop for more than we originally sold them for. But sadly most of us will never be able to afford the pawnbroker's profit margin. Right now, I'm selling everything in a wild last ditch effort to buy back my dream... it may just work.
