Agreed. Value can only be assigned by the individual, what is gratifying and fulfilling to one person may seem pointless to another. I think that is why it is so important to follow our passions as defined by ourselves. My little ho-hum job means a lot to me when I see people's faces light up when they first see their birthday cakes, or when I think about the memory and the significance a child's first cupcake. Maybe it is just because I'm a softy, I'm sure not everyone is so sentimental, but I'd like to think that they are.
