I am working diligently to collect sponsors for our Stable Girls calendar. Tomorrow the printer comes out to show us paper samples and talk about the layout. I have 2 weeks to get this thing done......Must also run every day, and ride my horse..........
Combine this with the daily cleaning out of the closets, garage, meal preparation, mom's taxi service, and end of school activities - and you can see what my mind/day is like!! Like, " Butterflies and Hurricanes" - thanks Muse......I need to arrange for air transportation for my horse, dog, and cat - also supervise work on my house in Michigan........
If I was truly the fairy godmother I pretend to be - I would be able to magically find the ideal job for my spouse, and make my kids' transition to American schools as painless as possible.......I would never need to take anti-depressants that only work sometimes - and I would be happy and cheerful all the live long day! Right! In an ideal world.......
I am swimming as fast as I can - But why is it I'm only just barely managing to keep my head above water......??!!!!

My younger brother had the same problem... his birthday tended to fall on the first day of school at times (9/1)... although his birthday hadn't been overshadowed by such a terrible event. It's a horrible thing that happend, but I hope it didn't have any lasting effects on a day that should be happy for you.
