Just a quick update -
I'm still in LA - I'm using my sister's mac!! How cool am I? Learning new things - and at MY age??!!
I'm having a great time!
I have met my 2 greatest internet friends, finally - the gorgeous koala and the incredibly cool cinemonk !!!!! We had a lovely lunch and stroll through downtown Santa Monica yesterday. I hope to see a little bit more of them tonight.....
I leave tomorrow morning for the great frozen tundra that is Michigan. I'm hoping that Spring will have finally sprung in my short, but sweet absence -
One is ever optimistic.
I have walked along Venice Beach, and eaten at some fabulous restaurants! I could eat my way through this mini-vacation - Good thing it is a SHORT one. 
Of course, I found a corset shop, and bought a few " souvenirs"
Oh - that remindsme - on the day I left Detroit - there appeared in our local newspaper, an article on my corset shop in Royal Oak complete with a rather large photo of me in a corset. 
I have ordered all my minions to buy all the newspapers they could find for that day, so I could hoard a pile of these articles...... ( Friday, April 4th, Detroit News - section C. )

I must mention that I am also having a wonderful visit with my sister and her 12 yr old son.

I used an iMac in Aprl 2001 and hated it, but that was then - so many things didn't work on them then - sites wouldn't open right and stuff . . . my next LapTop may be a Mac.
Anyway, as to my journal entry, they are friends in NY, and his sister disappeared late on April 1 wearing purple pajamas, and was heard screaming by neighbours, and the ground search is off, but police are following leads.
