d e a t h l y t i r e d .

2nd rehearsal tonight. Did I mention I'm suddenly an actor? Yeah, we're a dude short. So, I wrote it, I'm in it.

Wrote more of The Story tonight, so I'm almost up to the point where I don't know what happens next--I know they open the trunk of the stolen car and...

Thanks for the compliment, but I think logging on and finding every picture replaced with one of me would cause a serious decline in membership.

Oye Cabron!
It's Juan, or shazb0t, I got the gift of a new profile, so you know I'm back on

The first rehearsal was today--second rehearsal tomorrow--third on Wednesday--the show is Sunday. I'll put details here as soon as I know them, for anyone who is interested. It went pretty well, but we're a little short on actors so I'll probably have to perform in it too.

Meanwhile . . . I started a new short story the other day. I kind of like it--it's...

She said she was getting tired, so I offered to drive. She suggested a motel instead and I said that sounded better. I waited in the truck while she paid for the room, then I carried her bags in. I hadn't brought anything with me but a box of tapes, and I'd left those in my car. I was a little nervous once we were...

With the business.

The Lincoln script is in the capable hands of shazb0t--I'll try and post some sketches here soon. Nerd Prom Chicago is coming up and Josh is coming in, pages-and-outlines in hand, so we can make the rounds and shop our book around. I've been scripting pages for that the past two days and I'll probably continue to do that over the weekend--I...

Just posted a design sheet drawn by shazb0t for a short comic I drew. It was more-than-slightly autobiographical, so the dashing cartoon fellow would be yours truly. Check it out in my pics.

I can't wait for him to draw Abe Lincoln shooting laser beams out of his eyes.

Tonight was made up of revisions . . . transferring half-written skits from my journal to...

I watched the wiffleball video, that's what prompted the question.
I still say they ain't so funny. They have their moments, but...not enough of them.

Clearly one of us has no sense of humor.

I just sent an 8-page script off to shazb0t. I hope it's as funny as I think it is.

My dance party plans have been sidelined by a mystery cramp . . . I woke up yesterday morning with the worst pain in my calf ever. It's not too strange, I've woken up with leg cramps before. I stretched it out and it hurt for...

Delayed response: yeah, I was at Stella. I was kinda underwhelmed by it, to be honest. Those fuckers!
I've got a ton of music on my computer, and I do that all the time. Good fun.
Goood luck with the script!

I'm EXHAUSTED. I went to see Stella at the Logan Square Auditorium and it was the most poorly organized show I've ever seen. Folks didn't get inside until an hour and a half after the show was due to start, the line branched off in three different conflicting directions, and I think I actually suffered a broken heart when I got inside and saw there...

I hate when they fuck up shows like that... The screening of the Animatrix I saw last month was a joke of unorganized flailing about. Bummer.

I've left the company, by the way - next time you want to tell Deb off you'll have to do it yourself. I'm working for a web software company downtown now. Yay!

Good luck with the comic... I have a friend that will be shopping something around the show next month, too... It's based on characters that started in the album artwork for my last band, so I'm excited for him. My band may never be famous, but if my likeness is a comic character, I'd be pretty jazzed about that.

Peace - RT

Here I am looking for work and a place to live . . . in a lot of ways I'm in the same position as I was this time last year. But I am more acclimated to the city I suppose, and I'm actually getting some writing work to supplement things so I can't complain too loudly. And I certainly wouldn't want to do this...

i just got a new place, and i'm still looking for work

2003 hasn't been all bad for me though, i've squeezed a lot of travelling and other nonsense into this year so far smile

I'm thinking of using this space as a work journal. As it is, the public nature of it prompts me to update more regularly than any other kind of journal/diary I'm keeping right now, even if it's only to sometimes post a link to an article I want to keep track of or remember for later . . . so I thought I might as...

My favorite part was when the fireworks would begin to fade and they looked like giant jellyfish floating through the sky.

Then, I sat in some gum.

Being stressed out about girls and broken toilets and cold showers and moving to the south side makes for writing good comics, I think. Or, it has tonight. Four fully scripted pages! Eat it, jerks!

It's been so long since I've had hot water that the other night I had a dream about taking a hot shower. It was better than any sex dream in...

Found on Matt Fraction, Man of Action's website:

"The crowd of people was participating in the Mob Project, an e-mail-driven experiment in organizing groups of people who suddenly materialize in public places, interact with others according to a loose script and then dissipate just as suddenly as they appeared."
