so this has been the weekend of movies. i've been a little more antisocial than most weekends. i'm ok with this. i really feel like this memorial day is a holiday misplaced. i'd rather have a quick mental break and then get back to work. i know i could have worked over the weekend, but it was a holiday and needed or not, i had to do what i could to enjoy it
So, i watched (in chronological order) iron monkey, casino royal, afro samurai, grid iron gang, pick of destiny, pirates III, and a scanner darkly. sprinkled amongst the movies were seasons of rome.
i don't feel like this weekend was a waste either. i really like movies, but i did other things as well. i managed to run and go to two bbqs. i spent some time with good friends and got plenty of sleep
i'm looking forward to work tomorrow. i don't think i'll be in early... i never go in early, but its already 2:30. so if i got to bed soon, i'll still be asleep much sooner than last night. last night i was starting my second, maybe third movie of the night.
i've also done a lot of thinking. progress progress - life goes on. ok, i think i should try and sleep or at least read instead of watching the audio commentary for a scanner darkly. btw i really like robert downey jr in this movie. he's exactly how i envisioned that character from the book! that doesn't happen often and i praise rdj even less...
on that note- i'm out
