Okay so I haven't been in the best of moods lately. In the last week of March I did some work for the local newspaper and got paid $238. Not bad. So the entire month of April I worked for them and was due to receive another check. I really didn't know how much it would be but based on the check I got for that one week, I was expecting around $6-800 give or take. Well you can imagine my shock and heartbreak when I got a check in the mail for $53. I asked them about it and they said that no one paid them that was supposed to, so they couldn't pay me. They obviously knew about these fucker's lack of payment but failed to notify me. So I asked them for a list of people who didn't pay and instead I got a list of EVERY client. So now I have to got through this gigantic list and call everyone to see who the deadbeats are that decided they weren't going to pay. I did get one guy to send me a check but he made it out $13 less that he was supposed to. I know it's just $13 but fuck I'm still pissed that I got paid $53 for working a month. Yeah I'm defintely not persuing this as my line of work. I did all of this after working 8 hours at my other job.
Oh and when I was driving up there to inquire about my lack of funds, I got a ticket for running a stop sign. So now I really just want a backrub and a fifth of whiskey to share with someone. Any takers?
