last night i watched you
while you slept and you dreamt,
and i studied your breathing,
alluring and hypnotic,
like a warm, southern wind,
on a cool, northern day,
allowing yesterday's frustrations
to completely melt away
into a place of inner peace,
some form of sudden bliss,
happiness across your face,
those lips i long to kiss,
which formed a lovely smile,
as your eyes, they captured me
gazing upon my angel
with complete serenity,
as you slowly rolled over
and fell back asleep...
