Been watching season 3 of Friday Night Lights. It's such a great show. I really like it. Hopefully it gets the nod for a fourth season, although I don't know how likely that would be to happen since most of the cast is in their senior year at the school right now, and I don't know how the show would work with a whole new cast. The only characters that would stay on would be the Taylors, Buddy, and other supporting characters. The whole team would be replaced, and I don't think season 3 really shaped up a lot of the other players besides the main ones we've been watching for the last 2 years to a position of shining in the next football season. Y'know, it's funny how I like football movies and shows, but I don't care for the game itself much at all.
I checked out The Birthday Massacre (band) recently. They're pretty good. A lot of their songs sound similar, but that was the case with the Strokes when I first got into them, and I wouldn't say that about them now. Time will tell. I haven't really looked for much new music in a long time. I should, though. I've been listening to the same ones on my iPod, and it could use a bit of spicing up, so to speak.
Hopefully going to see The A.K.A.'s (Are Everywhere!) with Foxy Shazam February 15th. I really like The A.K.A.'s. I've seen them twice at Ghostown here in Jonesboro several years ago when they were promoting their first album, White Doves and Smoking Guns. A very energetic show, and it meshed well with the intimate, DIY venue that the Ghostown fit in so well. The Village is where the show is in Little Rock, and it reminded me a little of Ghostown when I went there in November, in that it's pretty much just a show venue and not attached to a club or anything else like Juanita's and Vino's are. It's definitely higher scale, but it emits the same vibe. Much looking forward to it.
