The L.A. Arena Company, in its infitne wisdom, has decided to add to the holiday spirit by lighting the Staples Center green. Not red and green or even green with red trim, just green. No idea why, maybe there was a sale. Usually its purple, which lends a sort of downscale multiplex aura to the place. Usually hits not foggy and overcast either.


Ginormous green arena + low hanging cloud = creepy The Day After apocalypse vibe, not cheery consumerist vibe.

Just in case you were planning some large scale civic lighting, If figured I'd throw that out there.
