Finally have a free weekend... No plans tonight except for watching the kids and making dinner.

Last weekend was the extended Family reunion out at Skaneateles Lake. All my cousins from my grandfather's side of the family get together once every 5 years at a Private Campground. It's about 25 cabins surrounding a Main Lodge on a gorgeous lake.

Had a really cool time hanging out with my hippy cousin from San Diego. Dude's about 35, got blonde dreads down to mid-back, and never wears a shirt. He set up this big Burning Man Bonfire, and a 96 piece mural that everyone was asked to paint a square of. It was a really cool idea. My brother, who I rarely see, and I painted a couple squares and I did a couple on my own.

I smoked pot for the first time in a very long time with this potpourri of cousins.. One was a ENT surgeon who claims he's one of 20 in the US that specializes in this specific type of surgery on ears. I was pretty stoned so I don't remember exactly what it was. He lives in Roanoke, Va. and his name is Tom. That's all I can recollect. Another cousin lives in Syracuse and is a Pentacostal preacher. He has 7 kids. He didnt smoke pot with us, but he hung out while we did. One of my female 3rd cousins who is 44 is engaged to a 63 yr old dude. I guess they've been together about 5 years. I asked how that is and she told me he's the best man she's ever had. I didn't ask anything else.

And of course, all my first cousins were there and we all had fun, although they tended to stick to themselves. My brother and I were really the only ones mixing it up with all the other cousins...

Next weekend. UB Homecoming and two gigs. fuck...
