Time for some MANOR!
Thanks for the nice comments on my CASABLANCA treat for my wife--it went very nicely! Smooth drive to Santa Cruz, free parking, a nice Japanese dinner... then the ONE sour note of the evening--a "large popcorn and two medium drink COMBO" cost a whopping $17.50???!!!
But the movie was wonderful--I hadn't seen it in ages, and she'd NEVER seen it. Bogart, Bergman, Claude Rains, Conrad Veidt, Peter Lorre, Sidney Greenstreet--sure, it's a movie classic, but it's also a just-plain "What's not to LIKE" movie and it more than hit the spot.
Okay, now pardon me while I shift gears (and characters) to hype this weekend's brand-new installment of the creature-feature show that's been knocking 'em... oh, hell, you knew where I was going with that...
Greetings, friends--
Well, Rama P. Jama has left the building (but if you're thinking "never to return...")--leaving US in control of the MANOR at least on Fridays and Saturdays!
Time for traditional vampires and traditional horror... or is it? Now, THE DRACULA SAGA is primo Spanish horror such as we love to serve up at the MANOR, but you'll find it more than slightly offbeat all the same.
HOWEVER, no sooner do we try to venture off the beaten vampire path than a mysterious seductress arrives in our midst... and her fiendish goal? Would you believe... to lead us down the TWILIGHT path??? Could that REALLY happen--to US?
Only one way to find out!
Friday 10PM Pacific
Saturday 5AM and 10PM Pacific
Monterey cable channel 24 (AMP)
or on-line at www.ampmedia.org
Choose "Programs" and then "Web Stream" for Channel 24
All the best,
Remo D.

Sad.
Don't even get me started on the lack of drive-ins.
