Taking vacation days, finally. It works out to toiling away on monday, tuesday, and friday. two weekends each week, until i go away to iowa for 10 days.
not that iowa is a glamorous hideaway. it's a center for the mundanely attuned, which i can fake for 10 days, hopefully.
to celebrate my mini-vacations, i've taken to playing games and fixing my spare computer. Oh, and the presidents of the united states of america tomorrow night (or tonight, if you prefer) and saturday night.
It's not like i'm a huge fan. they're fun. i wouldn't pay to see them two nights in a row though - i dig their openers. Mountain Con, and Visqueen. I have several friends joining me for the saturday show...basically, leaving from a hardcore drinking party, then going to the showbox.
sunday, i'm triple booked. that's just how dumb i can be.

Going home to the Midwest isn't so bad... just as the novelty really starts to wear off, you get to come home and appreciate being here instead.
