Spain was tough. And nice. Nice, but tough?

Maybe 20 hours of true work.
Another 40 hours of drinking and eating at nice places.
Another 30 hours in airports and airplanes.

Too much cervases.
Too much sangria.
Not enough time to wander.

I debated smuggling a bottle of cuban rum back - but in this day and age, I don't want to guess what they...

Barcelona, Monday, for a week.

I thought I was stuck doing presentations, but I'm more just a figurehead, which is cool by me.

I thought I was getting in a day ahead of the rest of the people going, but we're now all on the same flight.

I thought I was staying two extra days, but everyone is staying an extra day, so it's really...

Detroit (Friday to Today)

Friday: Fly in
Saturday: Wedding Rehearsal, Dinner.
Sunday: Visit my cousin Joe
Sunday night: Bach. party
Monday: Wedding
Tuesday: Commuting people to airport, Flogging Molly
Wednesday: Buy a belt, fly home.

Each of those are a range of stories.

As a side note, failing to pack shoes, and not having time to buy shoes...moshing wasn't too painful in birks. Good times.

GenCon Indy - tiring. I was friendly enough to see random gifts from multiple game companies.

Saturday night at the show, I get an invite to a goth/industrial/techno club. At one point, I'm standing amidst three cute girls, and at the same time, they self-consciously try to introduce me to the other two "strangers".

Eating on the company dollar is cool. Steak and drinks every...

Arrived back from San Diego ComicCon

The Field is an amazing irish pub, with the best food on the face of this planet.

I leave again tomorrow, for the midwest.

Just got back from the Origins game convention in Columbus, OH. I apparently already missed two deadlines that were given since I was gone. Too much work says I.

I have two weeks to kill until San Diego Comic-Con, followed up by GenCon-Indy.

Followed closely by a wedding in Detroit.

And then at the end of August, I leave for Europe for a week. So...

I got back from hell, and they told me that the NY office was happy.

So happy that....remember how we told you we weren't going to San Diego Comic-Con? Please arrange for your airline tickets and hotel today or tomorrow.

"That means I'll even be less in the office, doing less office work, you know this."

Uh....we need you to go. m'kay.

So tonight, I...

I just got told I'm going to NY for the weekend. Fly out Thursday morning, leave Sunday morning...technically only about 4 hours of work. Almost as funny as the trip to Japan a couple months back.

Travel on the man's dime. Like I always tell 'em, send me anywhere. smile Except Ohio.

Summer becomes the busy time for me. Game industry consumer shows, combined with the fact that most trading card game companies roll out their new "year" generally in September - my company even more so because of the circumstances.

I woke up horribly hungover.

In this funk, I went to the laundromat to do a couple of loads before going to the folk festival in Seattle center.

I walked around for a couple hours, called some friends to see if they were down there or not. Shopped for a anklet kind of thing I had once, didn't find anything too similar to it. I'm...

So, for those not keeping count, I did show for bowling aka Kareoke. Or however it is to be spelled.

I'll probably be back next week, despite having been negatively encouraged to sing. (If a guy can't sing a billy joel song, there's something wrong.)

And Tony the Tiger was amazing.
