OMG, I'm so shocked! I got to work today and one of my colleauges was being terminated! I couldn't believe it, he was told that he had to leave the premisis by noon or they would call the police! I was in complete shock... I mean, I know this guy and he's really nice and a good worker. So I just don't understand why they were treating him like shit!
As Quinne said, "I'm nothing if I don't stand up for what I believe in". So, I went to talk to the director, and he basically told me that it was none of my business and that I should really focus on my own work. Fair enough, but this really affects me! I mean it's pretty scary to know that one day anyone could just be terminated. So I advised my colleague ~ sorry, former colleague~ to request an exit interview... I mean it's just not right!
However, on the plus side, my interview with the school board went REALLY well. And they took my references, which is a good sign!
