SG makes me want to start making fine art again.... a lot of the photography really blurs the line between porn and art..... it's inspiring, thought-provoking.

If I shot an SG set, I'd shoot it as art, and then shoot it as porn, and see where the differences fell between the two. Any model volunteers?

juke joint jezebel. funnily enough a favorite of an old girlfriend of mind. first heard it on some back ass tape she made for me back maybe sophomore year of high school. BE MINE SISTER SALVATION!!!! hehe. you made me smile, you get points.

i like the pic. very nice. i approve.

I must say i used to get made fun of in college for (supposedly) having sex to loud german angry music of the rammstein variety. buck dich, befehl ich dir, wende dein Antlitz ab von mir, dein gesicht is mir egal... hehe. there may even be a video skit out there of someone mimicking these events. Over a hundred people may have seen it too, with me and said girl present ;=)

sadly my "de-virginization" has no soundtrack, nor anything particularly gothy about it. damn. had i known this would come up in coversation, i might have chosen the girl and the circumstances more carefully ;=) crap.

i guess if you do an SG set you must walk down the street thinking everyone can see you naked. and in point of fact, i guess they can, though they most likely didn't. i mean, how many people are actually on this...

I don't think your bisexuality necessarily comes through on your profile. then again, why would a straight girl be on here...hmm. L'ART POUR L'ART!!! ;=) (art for art's sake if that hasn't come up on your tape yet)

Well, I guess I'll go be european now (i play soccer, don't laugh, i even keep the face metal in). I think I might take KMFDM with me in the car. What excellent ideas you give me, although losing my virginity again seems unlikely...

Hi I'm John. Pleased to meet you Sarah. I am also smart, blonde, cute, and nearsighted. Give or take a little on each adjective....

I'm not averse to your laughing at me. Just don't get into the habit... ;=)

I don't know. I have a love/hate relationship with all things goth. The music is good, but not if overdone. The pretentiousness is fine as long as the hypocrisy isn't too blatant. any lifestyle that's not compatible with going to get food in a supermarket or home improvement probably has issues to resolve...

Whatever, I play soccer, I wear a spike through my lip, I'm getting a PhD, I listen to KMFDM. I deal.

Rammstein is tyical of that love/hate thing. It's German, so I love it just on the basis that i get something linguistically out of it. Musically and lyrically, it's pretty horrendous, but awfully catchy nonetheless, thus causing sparks of glee amidst a general fear that someone German will point out to me that these lyrics are really dumb. Their US fans are also retarded (there's a song called Heirate Mich - marry me - that large hair metal dudes will be yelling in the crowd without the slightest clue as to what it means) sigh. whatever, you can't hate an idea or music because of the other people who also enjoy it. I mean, I listen to German rap too...

Picking photos was interesting..... I think the choices say a lot about peoples' personalities.

I like pretty pictures with pretty grrls staring at the camera, for the most part.... state of dress or undress largely irrelevant.

What do you like?

hmm. i have to make a decision on grad school by april 15th. i still haven't heard from anyone else. this is me <--- this is me going nuts <----

ah yes, the language learning tapes.

bonjour. je m'appelle francois. je suis chauffeur de taxi...
i suggest picking up some french music just for a feel of the pronounciation. (not that other than Noir Dsir, i could ever recommend anything good in French) i've learned a fair bit of german over the years thanks to das ich, rammtein, sopor aeternus, erdball, funker vogt et al...
not vocabulary that's necessarily useful...but some nonetheless...

it was also quite nice today in boston at least from the 4 nanoseconds i was outside during the day. glad to hear you were not in fact involved in that nasty fire in warwick.

i've used a program called cool page for my recent web design. it works. more or less. though it doesn't really help with testing stuff out on different browsers and screen sizes.

and i love the girls with intense stares, glares, pouts, or mischievous smiles. ;=)

fatalconceit:
hmm. from here looks like my last comment a mile long was cut short by our friends at suicide girls...i don't think it was THAT racy ;=)

anyway, i like the girls with intensity in their eyes, or something in their eyes that betrays personality. hard to put into words.

i haven't heard from anyone but brown yet, though as i understand it the first week of march is when most schools mail their decisions.

i need to work on my site a little this weekend. coolpage is the editor of choice. problematic for anyone who doesn't have the same size sceen as I do, but otherwise an editor with plenty of functionality. then again, i lean to the minimalist when it comes to web design. saves loading time, and most of the bells and whistles are annoying at best.

as for french. well, if you have any questions, you can always ask... :=) not that i know very much about picking up guys at bars...

incidentally, an industry that doesn't contract much in slower economic times: analytics. the company i work for also sells a product that helps companies measure how much return on investment they are getting from public relations activities. these sort of things are especially important in a downturn when the belts tighten and people have to figure what's important and what's expendable...

I would get so much more work done if there weren't so many lovely Suicide Grrls to look at......

heh. no. i do what they call media research. internationally even. i keep a database of european journalists up to date with my fabulous language skills. (occasionally dubbed skills with tongues) i personally prefer the term datamonkey...

what kind of design do you do? advertising? webdesign? industrial design?
fatalconceit:
i am a fan of graphic design. i even design the odd web page for friends and causes i deem worthy ;=) nothing professional caliber, since i am an autodidact as far as html and java go. i'm currently redoing my web site. making it simpler in some respects. i'll give you the url when i'm done if you promise not to look at the code. ;=)

as for languages. my native languages are french and english. (though my parents are english speaking, i hail from the suburbs of Paris) my italian and german are spoken and read fluently, my writing i would say is average. i can read and understand spanish relatively well (though I can't for the life of me decipher a hispanic accent in english) and even swedish to some extent. some day i will teach myself swedish and go find myself a viking girl.

ack. but enough about me! do you have any ongoing design projects? your site was pretty cool (i like your sample drawing) but it left me wanting to see more...

i'm flattered. well if you happen to know anything about why i shouldn't go to Brown, speak now or forever hold your peace, given that they've given me an excellent offer to go get a PhD there next year...
fatalconceit:
i never know if i should post on yours or mine, anyway ;=)
the meat market has its uses, but i prefer delicatessen. (if you spoke german, there'd be a small pun in there, but sadly i find little audience for my multiligual wordplay ;=)
With luck, next year I will be pursuing a PhD in political science, concentrating on theories of political economy. And before you make fun of me, yes I did choose that... When are you expecting to hear back from the schools you applied to?
