Feeling excessively blue today.... maybe because it was my last shift at C&B....... maybe for other reasons. Went swimming before work in the sticky humidity, under grey morning skies, in calm grey water. Maybe not the way to start the day.

Or maybe finishing the day by searching for private health insurance is the bad idea. Y'think?

that sounds like a great way to start the day. At least you're awake, which is more than i can say for the way i start most of *my* days. Sorry to hear you're blue, are you just on a downswing? Don't forget, the reason you're quitting C&B is because you're becoming such a huge goddamn success!

Thanks for the thumbs up on the Saints! You'll be the first to know! wink

thank you, Tjaden.....

"Every time I went on a first date, the next morning I bought a ten-cent feeder goldfish from the pet store and put it in a giant jar that used to hold pickles. I named the fish after my date. I didnt give him any advantages. Instead of distilled water, I used tap waterover-chlorinated, radioactive. I did not change this water. I...

It has been a rough day. Talked to my ex for the first time since I moved out, almost two months ago. I wanted to discuss cat custody with him... as in, "When I agreed to give you the cat, asshole, we had just had the world's most amicable breakup and I didn't think that a week later you would fall madly in love (*cough*rebound*cough*)...

i've had this kind of thing come up in my life before. the _potential_ for things being OK and the idea that things _should_ look a certain way kept me banging my head against something that in reality was not any of those things. sometimes theres nothing one can do and in fact the act of "doing" anything at all makes things worse.
let him blow the goat, no need for a threesome.

thanks for the sweet testimonial. the perfect california night was pretty awesome too...I feel the same way about the "old friend" thing, you're super cool
tjaden:
heh... while i could probably think of something wise and profound and somewhat helpful in a non-helpful way... i think it might be better if i just recommended a short story.

"The Good Times are Killing Me" by Erika Krousse...

I doubt there're any copies of it on the 'net... but I can probably send it to ya if you want... Truly, an excellent story. Trust me.

Doing work versus reading on the beach...... I am losing this mental battle very, very rapidly.

I'm probably going to be heading to Delaware sometime in August... for about three weeks... yay for Delaware... whatever

and hey, naps are excellent... never really discovered naps until after college... wtf?... you'd think that one would learn all about the importance of naps while one is in an instituation geared toward educating people of important things... but no... no such luck.

Check my pics for new stuff...... that's about it for Cali, but expect many more of RI as I fall ever more in love with my camera with each passing day.....

Some day I will get some rest and have some free time. I haven't even gotten to look at any of the sets I've missed yet!

Back from Cali. Glad to be home, but sad at the same time. There is a part of me that has always been on West Coast time, so to speak.

More details to follow. In the meantime, go say hi to papawheelie if you haven't already, because he is super cool and largely responsible for my good time in SF/CA.

Time for bed.

WB oh confused one.. hope the trip went well!
tjaden:
that's because the west coast is where it's at... wink

i'm convinced that there exists some sort of migratory pattern for people in the US... but that's a different story.

glad you had good times during travel...

My mom put my childhood cat to sleep today and was smart enough to wait until afterwards to send my sisters and I an email about it. frown

I had a cat when I was 5, his name was smokey. They lied and told us he ran away. A few years later they told us they put him to sleep. I creid and cried.
rozehead:
ahh, sweetie...that's terrible. i know how you feel.
when the cat i lived with died, i couldn't believe how torn up i was.
thinking about you.

Hey kids.... I'm afraid I have to get kinda serious on y'all for a minute.....

I got a call this afternoon from one of the managers at C&B. It seems that a Hot Topic manager came into my store today. She had had a talkative customer in their store earlier that brought up SG, a C&B employee and stalking in the same sentence. She was...

Alright, alright I apologize. I'm really, really sorry. I apologize unreservedly. I deeply regret any distress that my comments may have caused you or your family and I hereby undertake not to repeat any such stalking at any time in the future.

Besides, the 3000-mile stalking commute was just getting to be too much. wink

umm, is it okay to joke about it? even a little? bad zuki!

Good night last night. Lots of drinking and bar hopping and 3AM Bickford's and crashing on a cute boy's couch. I was aiming for his bed but I missed wink

Woke up very hungover. Drove back to PVD and straight to the beach. Came home sandy and restored.

I've gotta head to the mall for work. If any plans finalize for going out tonight, someone shoot...
