I am ok. I may be moving to Newton (west of Boston) next week, if the roommates I found approve of me.

I need out of the portion of my life that lives in Providence.

(Aside from my friends, of course.)

Time for sleep. I will need it in the days to come.

Wow! you got my Ayn Rand reference! I don't think anybody else did.

Regarding her, nay.......
I'm glad I read the book; she's an interesting author, but I don't find her premises to be correct or even well conceived. Atlas shrugged bothered me, even though I can often be a money-hungry capitalist.
What about you?
tdg64:
Let me know when you arrive, where in Newton? I'm right down the way (Brookline)
Cheers wink

*amazing* weekend, good times with my sis and her hot ex-marine bf and his hot ex-marine friend.

unfortunately, i came back to reality and a roommate that i am terrified of. i may be away for a few days, depending on how the situation escalates this evening.

wish me luck.

I'm not dead, I swear. Just super-busy, both with work and a social life. Yay!

Yesterday marked, I think, the end of beach season. Warm sun, crystal-clear calm cold water. I swam my laps and spent a lot of time floating out to sea, staring at the sky.

I am very happy with my life right now.

P.S. My SG playing cards showed up in...

Life is a whole lot better today. For a million and one reasons.

And I think tomorrow is going to be even better. What a nice (and surprising) feeling to fall asleep to.....

So.... there are a couple of things that I do when I'm upset. Cook. Swear. Drink. Smoke. Hurt. Shop.

This time, I put the energy to a good purpose and purchased $16 worth of SG goods. Stickers and cards and buttons. Something to look forward to. A reason to live?

(No, it's not quite that bad. I'm just dealing with dating and falling in..... "like"...

I owe major dinero to the friend bank..... you know, the one you make withdrawals from when your car breaks down and your dog runs away and your boyfriend leaves you and it all happens at 2AM and you dial speed #6 and she comes over with stale donuts and a pack of smokes and stays up all night with you coming up with all...

anyway, my favorite season is springtime, because it's all about the renewal. not to mention my fiance's, mine, and my daughter's birthdays are all in spring, and i'm getting married next spring. and spring smells good, like rain and grass. so yeah, spring.

Still kinda sniffly, but not too bad.

Spent two days completely nauseous from the antibiotics, but I think I finally conquered that problem (even if it does involve forcing myself to eat too-large quantities of food and too-weird hours of the day).

Had an unexpectedly amazing weekend despite all of this. And today it is cool and clear and fall-like and perfect for staying in...

There is something very unpleasantly ironic about fighting a cold when it is 90 degrees out. Applying vicks vaporub while sweating in front of three fans in bed is wrong...... oh so wrong.

Day 2 of the antibiotics. Hope I am cured in time for the weekend smile
