hey... read your post in crivelli's journal... it just sucks that when your taste is "different", you get attacked. bad.
artrob:
I'm still celebrating for you...

we're engaged!

(we're still waiting on the ring, the down-on-one knee, and the setting the date part. but the important "will yous?" and "of courses!" have been taken care of.)

edited to add that Kay sends the best damned little boxes of goodies in the world. go tell her she rocks!

Hey congradulations!
crivelli:
I don't mind sets that are amatuerish if they have a certain something about them, something personal, some fun or creativity. They're usually more honest. Some sets just seem a little cheesecake to me and the SG doesn't usually look all that comfortable doing them. What do I know? smile I wasn't suprised by the reaction. I don't think it's a question of taste other than that of the admins. Possibly some of the sets I'm refering to were from awhile ago though I know people have "complained" about recent sets, some of which have been taken by staff. Amatuerism probably doesn't come in to those.

Some seem happy, from their reaction, that the photos are of chicks with no or few clothes on regardless. I just thought a set had to be more than that.

P.S.
congrats on the engagement

it is awesome, every once in a while, to have someone acknowledge that you know what you're doing, honestly and openly.

five minutes after sending a resume and cover letter, i received a compliment on my work and an interview appointment.

what a lovely and completely unexpected surprise.
tjaden:
congrats! (and, hey there!)

think i'm gonna quit my job.... again.... on monday. the work is killing my creative and technical skills from chronic underuse, the pay sucks and the company blows. but man, leaving paid vacation and health insurance really is tough.

in other news, i quit smoking in exchange for owen quitting binge drinking. this seemed fair. we'll see how our commitments play out. but, at 60+...

so, in a span of three weeks, i am pretty much single-handedly designing the largest cruise sale of the year on four websites (two of which you would recognize immediately), co-branded with one of the largest financial institutions in the world. thus far, all of my work has been on time, some of it even early, and has satisfied all of the demands of the...
