ah, well. a few days away from home have done some good. i'm in pittsburgh on business, chillin' with my boys in the office out here (some of whom are adorable, but alas, not single.)

i'm still, truly, mystified by what happened with the boy. it amazes me that i can still be surprised by how much people suck. i hope i can keep that with me, even as much as it hurts every time i get surprised yet again. but it would be so much worse to be so cynical that i could never trust anyone.

i have no idea what i'll find when i get home tomorrow night. hopefully i'll find my housekeys and spare cell phone on the counter, his bag gone, and everything else neatly in place where i left it. i really don't know, though. the apt could be totally ransacked. or his bag could be there, untouched. i'd rather not have to change the locks and cancel the phone, but i may have to. sadly, that will be a way worse financial blow than him staying there for a month. asshole.

but it is spring, and things are changing. they always do.





p.s. yesterday i met someone who ran away and joined the circus!
