hm. in hindsight, all of my posts over the last, say, six months (maybe a year?) or so have been major bummers. fuck that! life, truly, is beautiful. i have an incredible apartment, i love my little new england town, i have friends on speed dial, my family is always there for me, i'm gonna be an aunt in 7 months and there is snow falling in intricate crazy swirling patterns outside my balcony doors. life is good.
ok, so the jack and diet helps. sue me.
um... something good about this week... uh... well, as much as i hate the politics and bullshit of my job, i love what i do. i got an incredible amount done this week. designing a corporate branding style guide probably sounds like torture to some people, but i made gigantic progress on mine this week. maybe all my work will help my little startup do a 180 and make all those stock options worth something. maybe not. but i had a hell of a lot of fun figuring it out and putting it together.
and is there anything better in life, really, than ending the week with a burger and a beer with friends in a bar where everyone knows your name?
