thank you for the input on the sister/boy situation. i'm going to see her later today..... maybe we can get this sorted out.

i'm also going to see SG member tdg64 later today!

for the weekend, i am mostly driving for the sake of driving, getting away, spending vast amounts of quality quiet time with myself. it is much needed.

i saw my ex last...

Um...to a small group of my friends, yes.
hammersmith:
Haha, I'm sure they were great, but I have never heard John Powers perform a love poem. I've heard him do Suits on Ice more times than I can count, but never a love poem.

My friends were all making fun of me when I asked him in the interview "What happened to the girl?" They were all like "Trevor [that's my real name], only you would ask a question like that." I just said "What? I thought it would make a funny ending if they had broken up years ago and he was stuck here in this crappy state in charge of the slam poetry scene."

So that's my little story about that.

ok kids, a story and a question for you:

the story:
once upon a time a nice girl named jessie met a nice boy named jake. they fell in love.

a while later, at a big party, jessie's sister jen met jake's brother pat. they fell in lust. they were drunk. they did bad things. very, very bad things.

jessie was very upset with jen...

You dated John Powers for five years? Holy Shit! I did not know that.

Wait a minute, five years ending when? (If you don't mind me asking.)

If my sister and my boyfriend's brother hit it off, before anything else, I'd have to figure out how the hell I ended up with a boyfriend in the first place!

why does MA make everything so goddamned hard? buying this car is some sort of bizarre psychological gov't test to see if they can break me before that final moment when i take my shiny new plates and bolt them onto my shiny new car.

p.s. i went to a dance club in foxboro last night. if you are somewhat local you will understand why...

so, of course, the logical follow-up to the last post:

who wants to buy a cadillac?

1990 Cadillac Brougham
burgundy interior&exterior
120,000 miles
new-ish transmission, battery, water pump, coolant hoses and alternator
ok tires
hauls ass
the electrical is a little flaky, but nothing unlivable
the passenger side is dented and scratched from an unfortunate side-swipe incident
power seats, mirrors, windows. am/fm tape deck with...

well kids, it is the end of an era: the caddy and i will, shortly, be parting ways.

instead, i have won back the car that has been a thorn in my heart for a year, the one that my ex and i bought together. it is a 2003 civic hybrid. it is a good deal.

it is also a matter of pride.

it will...

the totals for the weekend were:

9 hours in the car with dad
3 hours in the bushes with amazing sex boy (literally. well, not bushes, but grass and the concrete floor of a half-constructed building. close enough.)
6 hours more curled up asleep on the floor with amazing sex boy

it was a very good weekend.

ARRR!!! We grow great by dreams. All great people are dreamers. They see things in the soft haze of a spring day or in the red fire of a long winter's evening. Some of us let these dreams die, but others nourish and protect them; nurse them through bad days till they bring them to the sunshine and light which comes always to those who hope that their dreams will come true. SUPER!!!!!!!! kiss kiss kiss

Hey there-
I'll have to look, off the top though, I'm out of town for the first 3. Framingham isn't doing it for you?
