Mutant super dogs do exist, people. And one of them is living in Montana.

According to the article, he is "well over a hundred in dog years." He lives in a place called "The Pit," a Superfund site where the water is lethal. And he's got some badass dreads. wink

They call him... "the Auditor."

That's what I like to see in the news: mutant interest stories. Makes me feel right at home...
aeryn:
Cool there is hope for the rest of us living in Super Fund sites.

As to your comment... I agree. They are the same- the ancient myths and what we learn about the universe.

Birdmonster is playing tonight at the Odeon. Should anyone read this and happen to be in San Francisco, come on out - they are a damn fine band.

I've never really been a fan, but damn, Sting is looking old. Real old. Like "I have trouble getting up from the crapper" old. And the soul patch is supposed to help, but it doesn't. He doesn't look like a Feyd Routha anymore, he looks like Jebidiah Sumner the crazy old banjo player who lives on the mountain.

He does look better than Peter...

not to mention all the yummy food they had, and we brought home some of those glazed pecans, yum!
ohmandy:

My girlfriend in a bikini, another hot girl in a bikini, the DNA Lounge, and a big kiddie pool full of chocolate syrup.

People do silly things after a few drinks.

She lost in a decision. I say she was robbed. Rematch!

And now to bed.

All is well.

Staying home from work today, a mental health day. Catching up on my reading, I just started Light by M. John Harrison. Interesting, not quite sure what to make of it yet (serial killers and space opera? Okay...)

Trying to avoid the news this week. I am dreading - but semi-expecting - breaking news that some would-be crusader has walked into Shiavo's...

Just for the record, when a woman says she is thinking of buying a very expensive dress, even though she hates going out and may never actually wear the thing, there is really only one correct reply. You may think it is reasonable to point out the rather large expenses hanging over her head, and that the cost of the dress is roughly equal to...

tygerblade:
Actually, I think the correct reply would be to think of a place where she would have an excuse to wear this dress, and suggest taking her there. Even though by doing so you're probably saying goodbye to your entire paycheck as well. Women call that "romance".
alienprincess:
wow. I feel almost as awkward as a guy would with that kind of shopping, except that I'd be less likely to get in trouble purely for being a guy, since I'm not one.....but this may be why I don't have much to wear that's not scrubs or sweat pants.

in reply to the 'make it all stop' thing--- yeah. well, there's a reason I only play games on windows....maybe they'll make a mac version of star wars galaxies. tho if they did, my honorable old macs would probably not be new-fangled enough for the job. anyway.
good luck with your blackeyed

Some say the devil is dead, the devil is dead, the devil is dead
Some say the devil is dead and buried in Killarney.
More say he rose again, more say he rose again, more say he rose again
And joined the British Ar-my.

Sorry, still recovering...

Indeed, it is all so wonky right now. It is another reason for me to stay with the polar progam for the next few years. I am afraid of my country.

Damn bridge and tunnel people, ruining a perfectly good bar. mad

I want to introduce a ballot measure that will codify the following: if you go into a microbrewery, wine or martini bar, and order a Bud Light, the bouncers are allowed to throw you bodily into the street.

Given a choice between nonviolent social change and passionate monkey sex, I think we all know what we would choose....the only question is, do we have enough bananas??
