Strippers = Ninjas
I was at the 40 Deuce the other night watching an awe inspiring Burlesque show when I had a revalation. This gets a little squirrly, but follow me.
I figured out the Strippers/Dancers/Go-Go Gals, whatever, are just like Ninjas. Every boy wants to be a Ninja...we want to move like that, know all the fancy Ninjitsu, mess around with swords and iron claws and smoke bombs while jumping over building like Jackie Chan. Even know it isn't really a noble profession, a Ninja prides himself in deceit, poision, mystery, murder...not really Nobel Prize winning behavior...still every boy, given one wish would consider long and hard before NOT saying "I want to be a Ninja!!!! Right Now!"
In the same way, I realized in the eye of a storm of whirling tassles...every girl wants to be a stripper/exotic dancer...every one of them...yeah, I'll use the strong qualifier...hear me out. Just like boys and their Ninjas...every girl wants to be able to move like a stripper, graceful yet powerfully sexy...able to do all manner of pole tricks and whatnot (some lady hung herself upside down from a chain and spun around...it was magical), able to immediately seduce anyone in a room with a look or a shake of their hips...it's the same thing. Not the world's most noble profession by some standards, but secretly every gal wants the power, that physical prowess...
Call me crazy, this all just dawned on me the other night and it seemed to make a lot of sense...what do you think??

However, I never wanted to be a stripper. Prostitute, yes. Stripper, no. And I always wanted to be a jedi, which I think fits into this whole thing somehow.
