If you sit... quietly and settle your heart and leave your mind to drift... you'll find that there is a hint of terror in everything you perceive. Just a hint... a subtle whisper of horrors beyond what you're capable of coping with, and in a flash you can snap out of it. The "world" and all its distractions take over, and you're back.
The horror...
Our bodies have evolved mechanisms of predisposition to resist the horror... to resist the punishment for our evolution. Its the price we pay for dominating this planet. It manifests as every ailment that hinders our "progress... and the more advanced we become, the stronger the horror grows. Balance. It always wins. This is why every organism- be it a society, a planet, or an individual- falls... dies... changes.
This is no abstraction... no metaphor. This isn't a movie or a song or a story.
Metaphors... the language of language..
What is this horror..? What could possibly cause sane men to go mad..? Cause creatures to willfully end their lives..?
It is the opposite of everything that you believe in order to function, down to the subconscious thoughts that will you to draw breath and pump blood.
It could be argued that to exist, something must believe it has a choice. Believe, is so vague. What is it to believe? Believing, establishing the idea of self, distinct from "others". Even in quantum physics, particles have an idea of self They have the idea of choice that is impossible to pin down by any means (read about the Heisenberg uncertainty principle), and because of this, they exist as entities with immunities beyond our analysis
Do you have choice? Do you control your next thought? Is your next thought governed by what you read now? Is that thought influenced by your surroundings? Are those tendencies predisposed to something in your past? Are you generating those thoughts spontaneously, out of nothing, or is there a logical explanation behind all of it..?
And if you were able to comprehend all of it, all at once, the maddening precision of your own self-analysis's self-analysis's self-analysis's self-analysis's self-analysis's self-analysis's self-analysis's... How would you keep it together?
Now for the irony, the cruel joke, the salt in the wound: nobody can ever know what you're communicating if it isn't in their "fate. They'll respond with thoughts like, "well that's not true, we have a choice." and they'll never think otherwise, or "even if I did do that, I would just forget it whenever I needed to do something else"... Im sure you see the pattern... It's a path so narrow that to walk down it is certainly suicide... a gesture of the perversely masochistic.
Oh! Gee golly, boys and girls! It appears she's talking in 4th person! She's talking about herself to herself, as if neither selves were associated with self being discussed! Wow! 5th person! Talking about the selves who are talking about the self that neither know! Recursive! 6th...7th...8th...aaaAAhaahaHAaAHaaAhAhAhHAAHaaAHAaHAaAA...horror...horror...
