i've been obsessed with dorothy parker's poetry lately. i guess it's the morbidness of it. the unhappiness of life and all that is going on. here is on of my favorites by her:
Dorothy Parker - Resume
Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp.
Guns aren't lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.
in a sick sort of way dieing is just as much work and just as painful as living. i sure wish my depression would go away. instead i'm just sick from taking antidepressants. that's life i guess.
