just got a call from my partner in NYC. she might be coming out west in a little bit, but is working out the details. she might do a drive-away to LA, where I'll meet her & we'll curve back to SLC, or she might just fly.
(we did a drive-away together a couple of years ago from NYC to Texas, thence to Sante Fe, where we hitched to Taos, camped for a couple of weeks, & then made our seperate ways to SLC.)

lent a friend a hundred bucks to go to Burning Man this years. haven't ever gone myself but its on the agenda...somewhere down the line. she promised pictures & stories, & I'm pretty sure she's good for it.
I'm a bit concerned about her, tho. she mentioned that she was thinking about taking care of some of the debts that she's accrued by becoming an escort. my partner decided to do this a few years back & things got ugly fast (lots of cocaine, tears, & self-loathing)
