so anyway i have recovered finally from big day out.
so i will give a bit of a run down of what bands i saw and everything.
we left home at like 11ish, got a park walked for ages with all the other punters and got in around 11:30ish (we missed frenzal

so the band on the mainstage when we got in was the D4 but they kinda sucked. so we went walking and found a band called the red paintings and they were ok. watched them then went back to the mainstage to watch the donnas. they were ok, some dude was wearing a hat that said the donnas love cock it was soooo funny with the pictures and stuff (guess u had to be there). then we moved into the barrier for eskimo joe. by this time it was soooooooo hot like unbearable hot, if i wasnt so tall i think i woulda died without fresh air.
the eskies were good they suit a smaller stage tho but props to them getting a mainstage spot.
then after the eskies was the hives, sweedish people are funny. they were wearing their suits and saying stuff like the hives dont adapt to the weather the weather adapts to the hives. funny cos after we went for a walk and came back, they had all taken their jackets and shirts off cos it was soo hot and their sweedish bodys couldnt take it.
we then found blondey blonde and her mates so we went into the barrier while the music were playing to wait for john butler trio to come on. i watched for a few songs. then i got sick of the sun and went to find the stage with rise against on. i got mixed up and luckily i saw that ATMOSPHERE!!!!!! was on right now, i ran to the hot house and watched in awe. by far the best i saw on the day. it was cool when he got down and walked thru the crowd YEAH!!
so i went back to the mainstages and watched grinspoon and realised that grinspoon have to be one of the best aussie bands ever, like every song was a song i knew and loved. phil the lead singers onstage drunk antics are funny as well.
so as grinspoon were finishing, we got our spot for slipknot. not too close to get killed but not too far away either. we found some people we knew so sarah could sit on their shoulders and watch cos she is a short arse.
they came out and woah it was a head rush seeing this band i was obsessed with like 5 years ago. they went crazy and from what i could see of the barrier mosh it was mental. glad i wasnt in there!!! corey made everyone bob down and wait to jump up when he said. it must be an ego rush to be able to make like a vast majority of like 50000 people bob down cos you said to. so everyone jumped when he said and we nearly died but it was cool.
at the end of slipknot we went to check out the end of our mates Lump on the local stage. on the way i saw some of the streets.
butterfinger started when lump finished and they r soo funny their lyrics are just hillarious.
by this time we were starting to get tired. we sat and watched regurgitator and it was sweet seeing their girlfriends on stage dancing with them.
we then moved over to the mainstrage to see the beastie boys, and they had already started they were running like 10 mins early god damn it. they kinda sucked anyway. maybe if i wasnt so tired i would of enjoyed it more, oh well.
so then we went home and crashed yay that was my day!!
the next night we went up to brisbane to check out slipknots side show, japunga were awesome, as were hatebreed (missed half of their set while at the bar) slipknot were freakin awesome!!! so much better than at bdo! the atmosphere of the place was tops too. sarah worked her mojo and got us backstage passes. we went there, drank their beers and ate their food hahahah. stacey was teaching them "australian" customs, but they were just dumb things she made up hahah. we hung out with mick, paul and joey (i love joey but he is so short) it was aweeosme best night ever!
