My graduate school mentor finally got back to me on my novel. Funny thing, I thought the book was a dark comedy and he told me it was a bit intense. But hey, at least I'm consistently intense. Guess that means I have a less distinguishable sense of humor than most sci-fi writers. There's always a nitch to be found though, people still like to read after all...I think.
Anyway, moving on to another point. I noticed something tonight, people always get so worried when things go right. It's like we've been mindfucked for so long that we don't trust the possibility of things actually going the right way. Hell, things should go the right way, that's why its the right way. I'm not against a bit of paranoia but I think we're just a little too paranoid.
