Now I'm lookin' to the sky to save me
Lookin' for a sign of life
Lookin' for somethin' ta help me burn out bright.
Lookin' for a complication.
Lookin' cuz I'm tired of tryin'.

Yes, there is a chance of Russ looking to run for PResident, but he has said that he will only do so if he beleives that he has support and a chance of winning(which means that I already have a great deal of respect for him; I can't stand people who run for office without even a viable chance of carrying a state). There is a site called "Draftruss.com" I believe, otherwise there is just his own Senate page. Drop him an e-mail and let him know that you think he'd be a great canidate; from personal experience he responds to his mail.

I gave a general congratulations on her set going up in the thread. I wrote in Quinne's journal, telling Quinne I generally agreed with her sentiments. I believe Joey read that, and that was why she left me a comment. I was polite to her, I didn't feel like starting a debate.
I am very impressed how dedicated you are to writing. I can never motivate myself to stick with projects.
Good luck with the Republicans; that is why I have only one Republican friend, and generally never come in contact with them if it can be helped. Except at work of course. If you remember where I said I worked, you can imagine how many conservatives I see on a daily basis.

surreal It's happening to my roommate too. So I know it's not just me. People reappearing from long gone. One chick got back in touch with him 18 months later! Out of control. And this one cutie called me up only a few hours ago and invited me to dinner--like she had to see me now (even though I'll see her tomorrow morning). Why are people...

first off I wanted to welcome you to the scorpio group... figured it would be best to do it here since that board doesn't seem to get checked all that much. us scorpios out doing better things I suppose. secondly, to answer your 'little riff of a sentence', it makes me think about the tattoo I want to get. I don't know if you are at all familiar with Harry Potter but there is this part in the third book where he gets a magical map of his school that helps him sneak around. To activate the map you tap it and say "I solemnly swear I am up to no good" and to make it blank again you say "mischief managed" Well I want to get it put on with the first part on top, a little piece map with something on it in the middle, and the second piece of wording on the bottom. And those are my thoughts. tongue

This week went by fast. Though I'm paid as a supervisor, I usually don't have to do any actual supervising. This week I did, and the place didn't burn down. In fact, people were impressed; I hope they don't take this as reason to put me in charge more...
Anyway, have...

It's about our culture (i.e., American culture) with respect to the psychiatric establishment. The critiques are ubiquitous: people are overmedicated, the druge companies cannot be trusted, etc. I want to argue not necessarily the opposite, but I want to try and show that this sentiment can be dangerous if taken too far. But it is a novel, and not social science.

On a different note and if you don't mind me asking, how did you get your job at Borders? When I was living in Twinbrook I applied with a referral from a past employee, and they wouldn't even return my calls.

To answer your question:
My Oregon fund sucks. Work sucks. The job market sucks. So all of the Oregon money got sucked out for sucky living expenses. Which, in turn, sucks. *sigh* But my hopes are high and my determination is strong, young grasshoppa. I will be there by June. Dammit.
