there's probably more tourist-y things to do on the main island (oahu) but the other islands like hawaii (big island), maui, and kauai are soooo much nicer.

how old are your boys? Wa ki-ki (sp?) has a lot of tourists, but is also perfect for kids-- jet skis, renta-scooters, rides, etc. yeah, Maui has some of that stuff but it's a bit more exclusive... folks with more "mature" budget tastes.
