Finally made it home for my Vaca. After a 1hr flight, 5hr train, over night in a hotel and a 8.5hr drive.... its nice to see my friends. Now i get to enjoy 20 days off... also will be in ottawa a couple days if anyone wants to go hit the slopes or go for a beer :)

Its so close. Friday i get a paid 20 day vacation from work. So stoked. Love banking OT

So two days ago my 2 work partners rescued a a res dog. She is the absolute sweetest thing. I really wish i could keep here for myself. But unfortunately i cant. So in the mean time this is the base dog Dakota. Those were her previous living conditions

Nothing like being working on the holidays. I never minded it. Especially in my field of work. But nothing like a -40° morning to have to do a truck check in. My beard froze in about 30 seconds doing a circle check.

I tend to think alit while i lay in bed. It does prevent me from falling asleep. Im jealous of people whos heads hit the pillow and pass out. Ive never really experienced that. Unless i hadnt slept in two days. Even then i dont sleep well. Anyways time to lay hear for a few more hours in hopes to sleep.

I love night shifts as a paramedic. I kinda get paid to sleep. Especially since i work in an extremely rural service. Like really rural. Light can only get here by plane rural.

But i love it... and this tea!

Was doing my truck checks today and thought, what a lovely sun rise.

Yeah so where i work we have to burn garbage so the bears dont come around...
