I can relate to your journal entries about drinking and its allure and attached fucked-upness. I drank to blackout last week and sorta made up for it last night by going out last night and ot drinking but literally carried a drunk woman out of a bar who was being misgrabbed by someone and I drove her home to the address on her license (usually I won't go in a woman's purse except when asked, but she was unconscious and I had to get her home) and I took her in, put her to bed and left, leaving a note for her so she would know what happened and she was safe but that she would have been raped and/or dead if I hadn't intervened and she (as do we all) need to watch our drinking - it CAN kill us.
