turkey day was pretty cool. my cousin down in palo alto puts a pretty good party together for such nights. he has a couple little rascals that are a blast too. so most of friday I hung out until the evening wrestlin' those two and then we strolled around dowtown pa. they opened like 10 bottles of wine thurs nite so that was pretty sweeet. so it was great all in all I got to sample like 5 pinots and a nice gruner veltiner.

The doctor warned the parents of "minor" complications. Since they had had children before they weren't overly concerned. They didn't know the extent of the complications until the poor girl was born. How medical professionals couldn't have noticed that before birth is beyond me. There's also another video on YouTube with a woman saying how drunk driving doesn't always kill; her friends all died when hit by a drunk driver but she was caught inside and burned. Her face melted off. One of her eyelids is completely gone and she has to continuously apply eyedrops to keep the eye from drying out. I think her name is Jacquiland or some sort. I try to keep these two individuals in mind. Life's been pretty good to me. It's sad that that thought is still based on exterior looks.

I guess I should add that I'm glad I'm not a security guard in Wal-Mart on Black Friday.

As you say, anyhoo, I ate dinner with the cousins and had a long spiritual conversation with their oldest son (few years older than I) into the wee hours of the morning. He keeps trying to find direction through religion and spirituality. It amazes me, he's a very intelligent guy looking for that eternal answer; yet, he has not allowed himself to consider that there is no answer. Either way, the conversation was of the sort I am not used to in this hick backwoods town. It made the evening worthwhile.

Hope you fared the same or better.

The only movie I've seen with SJ is Lost in Translation (well, starring her; I saw Ghost World as well, etc.). She just has this look. I'm not partial to blondes but she steal my heart now and again. I need to check out Woody's movie. Afterall, I have her album of Tom Wait covers (it's quite dismal and I would normally laugh but she took this project sincerely I hear so I hate it didn't fare better).

I did see Quantum of Solace. Many say it's an extended ending to Casino Royale but I enjoyed it much more than Royale (of which I read the original Fleming novel so I'm a bit biased against it). I watched CR just the other night to make sure of it. Craig is an amazing Bond and the reality turn the movies have made is nothing but good. The movie is nothing like the short story written by Fleming (his two best Bond stories have the least to do with Bond, Quantum of Solace, fucking awesome, and the Hildebrand Rarity) but I like the way they are establishing another SPECTRE in the Bond universe. I just wish we could see a friendship between Bond and Felix like in the books.

I'm shutting up before I rave anymore about Craig or my girl. If you were thinking of seeing it I would recommend it.
