well as good a time as any for an update. I've actually made some effort and there's a few pics below. the last one is mine, unfortunately the Pina Farina is not... I spied it the other morning when I went down to the lake with my camera for one of my 1st attempts shooting shorebirds. the ferrari was a much more cooperative subject...
the last photo is my new marantz. it is a combo DVD player/receiver I got through craiglist (I am the master of CL deals). the very screen I'm viewing right now actually is a flatscreen dell that I got off CL for $50. I called 8 min. after the post, so it was pretty good luck. now why can't I get some pussy is what I want to know. shit. anyway, strangely I had never even heard of marantz even though a buddy of mine is an audiophile and he helped me put together a pretty awesome system many years ago... recently I requested thru freecycle any kinda semi-functional receiver for project here and someone gave me this vintage marantz... 2230 (I should have pic of that for you too cuz it is beautiful... maybe one day if I ever get it to turn on). So the supposedly semi-functional stereo with 1 channel working turned out to be completely dead. I looked into getting it fixed and was shopping around and found the new marantz on CL. unfortunately, I can't get this damned thing to work either but it sure looks purty doesn't it?? better add that to my to do list tomorrow... call marantz guy again. it is a home theater in a box or HTiB system (I will be using my own speaker tho of course) which marantz tried a few years ago and decided to do away with... for whatever reason. anyway I think I will eventually fix the 2230 and get an old marantz turntable and set it up for vintage jazz records and maybe even some new hipster shit. if I ever become that cool... if I ever clean up this mess and buy furniture. ugh, I can't look at it anymore any I better go to sleep anyway. it will be nice if I ever get it set up though. and I have a fancy for vintage things, as you will see when I post pics of my new cameras. yay.

I nearly fell off the couch when I heard that. Stoic ol' Adama. I'm finishing up Season 1 still; Dr. Baltar was just elected vice president (he's such a slime but so damn likable) and he hasn't blown the whistle on Boomer being a Cylon. Colonel Tigh and his wife are together again (that was an interesting episode). I'm trying to figure out how Helo, if he escapes Caprica, will rejoin the crew and I'm fearing a relationship between Lee and Kara (I think I slipped up and figured out that will happen later). Honestly, that's the only problem I could have with the show so far. I want to soak up everything I can but I don't want to slip up and see/read something about what I haven't seen yet. I even fast forward through the intro that highlights moment in the proceeding episode. I'm trying to ration myself. I'm not above watching three episodes at a time.

I've never started a successful manuscript with any idea how I would finish it. Apparently if you have a place for it to go you lose creativity. And I always make it up as a go. Sounds like the correct way to approach a book/screenplay
And I just finished season 1. I wasn't expecting that ending! It took every bit of my will to restrain myself from plunging on into season 2... I do have to act productive now and again.
