Today is a Radiohead day.

Goals. I need more. whatever

2009 has been a relative wash, which isn't so surprising because odd-numbered years have almost always been crappy for me. Whenever I tried to make anything work this year, nearly all of it has gone to pot. I'm not butt hurt about it so much but eh it's partly disappointing. I take it up to The Great Indomitable Cosmic Wonder allocating my sweetest days to be ahead of me.

I'm already thinking about January with great hope and promise. One goal I have in mind is to travel more. None of that 'staycation' bullshit! I'm writing about grandiose, weeks-long, outside-of-the-United-States kind of traveling. As some of you know, Norway is on the agenda as well as England and/or Australia, and Patagonia. I was thinking of the UAE and Thailand too, but let's not go crazy...

- There are no movies out now or soon to be released that are worth shilling 7 to 9 dollars to view. TRUST ME. If you must, sneak in via a friend who works in a theatre or catch a private screening. The only ones I think you should see - and pay for - are Bronson, The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus and The Lovely Bones. So says THE MOVIE SNOB.

- For this moment, I've come to the conclusion that I'm not ready to be intimate (yet again). A lot of factors have contributed to this decision, both physical and emotional. Physically... well... LOOK AT ME. blush blackeyed EL SUICIDO LOCO Yeah yeah, "gain some confidence" blahblahblah. Easier said than done.

Emotionally, I put too much sentiment in the littlest things where likely others wouldn't. Plus, without asking I learn too much about whoever's sexual history, be her an interest or not. I sometimes wonder if Guinness would accept Quickest Jump Into The Friend Zone in their list of records. Maybe I'm just inexperienced in all manners, forms and etiquette of sexy time, but to be introduced to a mutual friend of the girl you fancy... who also slept with her... it's natural to feel bothered by that, right? *sigh* That's happened to me plenty of times and every time, I give up.

If any of you have any advice on how to handle this, I'd greatly appreciate it.

- Sometimes, complete strangers in book stores or restaurants or wherever like to tell me their life stories after knowing me for literally 5 minutes. I feel like a priest without the dog collar.

- Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 and 80mm f/1.8. I need you like my alveoli needs oxygen. Furthermore, the All Lovin' No Oven ice cream concoction at Cold Stone Creamery is too fucking sweet. My GOD.
