Lots of work this week...many hours and a huge sale. However, I have been kicking ass. Yesterday I personally accounted for about 1/6 of the sales, and today I pulled a bit less than 1/3. My managers are quite pleased, as am I.

First day of work today at Talbot's Mens. On the whole, I think that this will turn out just fine. Everyone is very laid back, friendly, and I'm all over the retail thing in ability if not entirely in spirit. Plus, and this is a particularly noteworthy plus, it pays me money, which I can use to buy things like food and shelter.

I posit that filling out job applications is the opposite of euphoria. Gone is the heady rush of applying to good jobs that I would actually want. Instead, I plod on through applications to progressively more worthless and deadend jobs so that I will be making at least enough to live on until I get something decent...yet still no word back.
