Well hello there loves and HELLO new site!!
I hope you are all settled into the new site. If not, I hope you are working on it like me. I love the new site. It's fresh and clean. Not to mention it was time for a change.
So, since the site it still working out the kinks I have issues posting photos along with my blog. Keep an eye out for later post of my Sundies shot as well as my "New Addition" photos. I promise, you wont be disappointed!
Well this past week has been an emotional roller coaster. I apologize for being away for so long. I had to take care of myself first. But now, things are improving and I am positively moving forward. With that being said this past weekend did not start off great.
It started with a trip to the prompt care office for me. I went in for an emergency appointment due to an infection that was out of control. Thankfully, with antibiotics I will be right as rain in no time. Luckily, a few friends decided it would be night to help pick up my spirits so they took me out to dinner. It was a much needed break from my house let me tell you that. Thankfully, the weekend got better. Much better. I attended a Jr. Hockey league game and let me tell you it was the funnies fucking thing I have ever seen. If you ever have a chance to watch the movie Goon. Do it. This game was EXACTLY like when Doug played for the Assassins. It was brilliant and horrible at the same time. You better bet your ass I'm going to another game this season.
Any who today was awesome. I started my new addition to my art collection. I started my chest piece! I decided to have fun with this one and give complete creative control to the artist. All I said was Edgar Allan Poe and Victorian Elegance. He ran with it and oh baby did he go! So, as you will see in the photo later, we started off small. To help me adjust to the pain, which wasn't that horrible I may add. We started with the center piece, a broach with a cat skull in the center (The Black Cat, 1854). From behind the broach a pair of Raven wings (The Raven, 1845) tied in red silk (The Masque of the Red Death, 1850) will span from shoulder to shoulder. Directly below the broach, attached to the base will be a Pendulum (The Pit and the Pendulum, 1850). The tattoo will be my full upper body from clavicle to hip bones. Granted what I described will only go to the abdomen. The rest is a surprise even to me! I am so excited to watch this piece progress. It will take months maybe even over a year to complete but I will stick with it. For it should be one of my signature pieces.
I before I end this blog I have two pieces of news for you.
1) Is more of a PSA. Flu season is coming soon. After the horrible flu season that hit the US last winter I urge all of you to protect yourselves. Make sure to get lots of rest, get plenty of exercise, and eat a healthy diet. It also wouldn't hurt to get a flu shot! This past week I got my very first one since I was a tiny tot. I beg you to consider getting one for yourselves.
2) I have some exciting news for all of you. Some of you may have already noticed that there is a new album in my Photos section. On November 30th (Happy Thanksgiving gift) my next set titled "Tied Up" will be unveiled!! This set was shot by Writeboy and it is a very very different style for me. This set is very personal and I truly hope that you enjoy it. So, on Nov. 30 keep your eyes out for "Tied Up"!
Ok loves that is it for me! I hope you all have a wonderful week and I will reconnect with all of you next Sunday! If you want to hear from me before then feel free to PM me (I always respond) or you can find me on Twitter (@QMabb) on Instagram (@Qmabb) and on Vine (@QueenMabb)!
