I am as offended by every non-believer shoving their disbelief as I am those shoving their belief. Just be kind and respectful.

While I have refrained from embarking in religious discussions with anyone who is more eager to hear what they have to say than what others have to share, today I allowed myself to get angry over an opinion. I disdain giving it enough power to allow me to put it to expression but I am hoping by doing so I can release it from it fetter on me.

Today, being Easter to many, allowed for a short workday. A fellow coworker said that she did not think we should be allowed to, and should have a full work day since other peoples religions did not get recognized equally. A freedom of religion (though I think she may have meant from). The humorous part of desired to say "Since when has anyone every complained about a short workday or getting paid too much". Instead I remained silent which may be where this set itself into me.

When there is something not right in the world, rights diminished, joys taken, is it wise to think we should remove the ability to have those things in order to be fair to those who can not?

It feels similar to punishing a person for not being perfect at everything instead of recognizing the qualities they do have.

I stand behind my point, It is easy to use intellect or peer pressure to show people how they are not perfect, but genuine intelligence and smartness is only truly challenged when you can see the possibilities of great qualities.
