So, yeah, I really need to quit wearing stilettos to work for 8 hours at a time since I stand on my feet all day. Am I shallow for liking the way they make my legs look? I really am entirely too enamored with shoes to wear practical ones to work, that would be like blasphemy...

Anyway, yesterday at work as hell. I'm not just saying that either, it was so terrible, I can't think of any other day that could even compare. I had two girls call in sick, no one could cover their shifts, I had a mother yell at me for asking a girl to come in and cover when, unbeknownst to me, she had a concussion. No one tells me anything. I had one girl quit because I asked her to stay a half an hour longer than what she was scheduled so that I wouldn't have to be in the store by myself. That was good. So she left anyway, and then I was in the store all alone with a million customers; ok, not quite a million, but you know what I mean. Finally, I was able to get ahold of MY manager and she came in to help me. Then after the chaos of the work day was over, she took me out for a drink. .... which I needed terribly....

Long island iced teas are my favorite....

Today went a lot better, but I will be a lot happier when the Holidays are over.
