My wedding is driving me insane. I love Nate, but I did not expect all this upheaval. My relationship with my parents is completely turned around. My father and I have never had a great relationship, he left when I was a kid and then in college I didn't talk to him for five years, and only recently did we start talking again. He is so excited about the wedding. He calls and emails me to discuss it. I have told him that I don't feel comfortable with him walking me down the aisle or anything, but he is thrilled to just be able to see me get married.
My mother on the other hand, is not so happy. She has been my best frined my entire life, and now she won't even go to my wedding. She won't even discuss it or congratulate me. And it's not becuase of Nate. She likes him. It's all becuase of her femi-nazi bullshit. Now, I am all for equality, but my mother thinks marriage is just slavery. "A ring on the finger is a ring thru the nose" is her favorite saying. She thinks that by getting married I am just buying in to republican religous masogonistic propoganda.
AURGH! I just want her to put aside her stubborness for one day and be happy for me. I want a normal parent who will be excited for me.

Sorry ya'll had to hear me vent, but I couldn't write this in my blog since both my parents read it.

Oh, and I have finally given up on ever finding my vibrator. I don't know how it dissapeared, but somehow I have managed to unpack and still I haven't found it. So, I ordered a new one from Babes in Toyland.

On a lighter note, Friday I am going to see Hitchhiker's Guide!!!! Then, get drunk at Starr's party. Alchohal solves any problem.
