Wow, my parents are so incredibly wierd.
My boyfriends parents are in Florida this week visiting. They are spending the next few days in Orlando with us. They are so normal. They are still married. Their hobbies are normal things like collecting old cars and training their little dogs. My parents? Well my dad is in the middle of a divorce (and my stepmother is closer to my age then his). And hobbies? my dad is fluent in Klingon. I never really think about how strange my parents are until I am around someone else's. Oh well. Like megacon. My mother has already asked me to pass out fliers for her Dr Who Club. My parents are both schi-fi obsessed former hippies. (they met when they were both in the cast of rocky horror in college). They are very cool, but they are so embarressing when you just want to have a nice dinner with your boyfriends parents, and your mother starts discussing the giant killer tomato costume she made a few years ago. Or the fact that her garage is painted to look like the inside of a tardis. AURGH! If they could just act remotely normal in public!
