i love my life.
i have a chalkboard in my van. on it, a to do list:
dmv
slingshot
powells
rabbitstick
horse chestnuts
blackberries
lock picking
food not bombs 5:30
wapato island
piano
sell junk
call taxidermists
roadkill?
solar laptop charger
also a poem by wendell berry about birds and abandoned lots.
one of the best things about living in a van is that i can effectively live in neighborhoods that i would never otherwise be able to afford to. last night i parked in front of a several-million dollar house on a hill overlooking the city lights of portland. two nights ago, after my friends convinced me to go on an impromptu trip to the ocean, all 4 of us crammed in the van trying to get comfortable enough to sleep, me with a bushel of stolen apples for a pillow, bellies full of campstove'd hot dogs, canned beans, and cheap wine, we awoke on a cliff overlooking the pacific.
