I can entertain more people in my farmhouse , than at my tiny beach house , plus the outbuildings on the farm can serve as guest quarters once I start remodeling them biggrin

It's fine - you've had good work done there in the past, it was fair of you to recommend them. All I can guess is that the guy who did my ears was being lazy or that he was a different one than the piercer who did your work. (He never introduced himself - a young guy with just a little facial hair?)

Anyway, I can't really recommend anywhere else in the Boston area. I've had good experiences at Chameleon, but they are super pricey. My favorite piercing studio is in Manchester, NH, and I think I'm going to continue to drive there to get work done - fairly cheap, looks like a doctor's office, and they'll work with you on anything short of implants. smile

yeah i like the beard better on you which is weird because i normally dont like guys with hair at all...the shaved makes you look younger too. biggrin
hellstorm:
wow, cleanly shaven. job interview? or summer heat?

as for the look, dunno....the one, well, you look like someone for the business world. the other, you look like a college student!

you chose!

as for "chick flicks", I consider movies like "Ya-ya Sisterhood" a chick flick. I kind of like City of Angels. give up everything for l*ve, and then have it all snatched away by a driver!

almost think Anthrax wrote that movie!

Ok ... I have seen this on the discovery channel before , would be nice to see it become a reality , I would not be able to stand living in such a place though frown I'm restoring the remaining 80 acres of a 200 plus year old farm so I can get away from the city , I work in NYC and hate being there biggrin

ahh, so desu ka. Nihon-go is interesting to learn.

(translations.....
so desu ka is "Is that so?" and "Nihon-go" is Japanese language)

I took a year of Japanese. I wish I could take more. very interesting language to learn. I do love the culture as well (the respect and everything). plus I try to use it whenever I can (I call my mom "ha ha", which is Japanese for "my mother".....they have another word for someone else's mother, and I call my younger sister "Imooto" which means "younger sister". the great part of it is I can get their attention in a crowd without giving away their name or any confusion!)

as for skyscrapers, sorry, I'm afraid of heights!

Ah, thank you! We think she's quite the cutie pie as well. She's pushing a year and a half now, and loves everyone. We're still trying to train her not to jump when she meets people, but she's short and wants to look at your in your face.

She gets along with the cats, however, the older of the two cats doesn't get along with her, so to keep them all safe, we keep them seperate now. It makes us very sad, but she almost lost her eyesight because the grouchy old man cat scratched her, and we had tons of eyedrops, pills, vet visits, etc

Good luck on your pup search. I will want to see pictures!

Hm, I've been to Tribal Ways once to get my friend's eyebrow pierced, and the facilities sketched me out a little - it's in this kind of rundown building - but hey, everything turned out ok. I bet if nothing else I could get my ears done there. Thanks for the reminder.

Oh, and I hope you enjoyed your "meal". It's the best kind. smile

good luck with the weight bench, I do hope it works out for you. I know a little bit. not as much as I could if my dad stuck around. but then again, from what I can gather, he needed my step-mother to get him to control his drinking (as he puts it, he only drinks beer, since he doesn't know how he'll react to hard liquor. he has said that one time, he might be the nicest guy in the world. another time, he'll be the meanest person you ever met).

he works out, has a whole room in his house for it. the basement is smart, though! he got a bottom floor apartment. so, in case he dropped some weights, "They won't fall through the floor into someone else's apartment"

as for talking to people vs. typing things out, always keep in mind that the preferred method for communication for an extrovert is oral (talking), while introverts tend towards writing. possibly due to the differences in how the information is processed. introverts want to think things through, and writing allows them to go back and edit things (and think through their thoughts before writing). an extrovert tends to say what is on their mind. writing makes them think things through, not their preferred method.

being an extreme introvert and also interested in personality psychology, I've done some reading on the subject. one really good book I've found for this is the Introvert Advantage. my copy is currently on loan to a co-worker who is an extreme extrovert. my hope is that it helps her in dealing with her future staff in a better way (although she does an extremely good job, since she is very personable). akways a thoguht. one of the interesting parts of that book is how an extrovert processes information in (if I remember right) 5 steps. an introvert (if I remember right) has about 7 to 9 steps. one of the reasons as well why introverts need the time to think things through.....they actually take longer to process stuff!

and thanks for the comments....quite true, quite true in fact!
